Myasnikova Anastasiya Sergeevna

Studied painting and art in D.N. Kardovsky`s studio (1923-1928). In the beginning of 1930th she collaborated with Moscow publishers as a graphic artist. Began to paint artworks in A.F. Shpir`s studio. In 1940th she worked as a painter for a painting workshop of GABT, creating curtains and scenery, participated in design work for staging M.I. Glinka`s “Ivan Susanin” opera. Beginning from 1950th devoted herself to easel engraving, worked in the genre of portrait, landscape and still life. Created a series of portraits, depicting contemporaries, cycles of landscapes, depicting sites of Moscow Region, Caucasian coast of Black Sea, Crimea. She is a wife of P.P. Sokolova-Skalya, who is the artist, as well. Her works are kept in the State Tretyakov Gallery, GABT museum and many other regional museums.
