Polushenko Andrey Petrovich (1911-1985).

Polushenko A.P. is known as a Peoples’ Artist of Russia, Laureate of the Repin Stat Prize. Studied under S.P. Sokolov – the apprentice of I.I. Shishkin and M.K. Klodt. Went on with the best traditions of the Russian landscaping. He was awarded the Repin State Prize of the RSFSR for serried of his Moscow Region landscapes, such as “October”, “Last Snow”. In 1981 he was granted the sonorous title of the People’s Artist of the RSFSR. The artist’s works are displayed in the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum and in many regional museums of Russian and abroad.
