Stavrovskiy Arkadiy Sergeyevich

Painter, graphic artist, monumentalist, decorator. He graduated from the first Moscow State University, studied at the Department of Theory and History of Art. At the same time studying at the university he was engaged in painting in various studios, but mainly in the studio of Aristarchus Lentulov. He was a member of the creative association of artists “Genesis”, exhibited at his exhibitions (1921–1929). Since 1926 he worked as an artist in publishing houses and under contracts. Since 1929, a member of the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia (AHRR). He was engaged in propaganda art, performed propaganda posters. In 1938-1941 he worked as a graphic designer at the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition (VSHV). The works of the artist A. S. Stavrovsky are in the Nukus Art Museum named after I.V. Savitsky in Karakalpakstan, the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg, the museum and exhibition complex in New Jerusalem, and private collections in Russia.
