Khnygin Lazar Alekseevich

The honored worker of arts of RSFSR (1957). Studied in Kazan Art School (1909-1913) and Imperial Academy of Arts (1913-1918). Lived and worked in Nizhniy Novgorod. Since 1915 regularly participated in exhibitions. During 1928-1929 exposed with the Association of Revolutionary Russian Artists. His works were exposed on Moscow exhibitions, such as “The Fifteenth Anniversary of the Workers’ and Peasants’ Red Army”, 1933 and “The All-Soviet Art Exhibition”, 1946. In 1920 gave lessons at Nizhniy Novgorod Fine and Graphic Arts College. The master's works are exposed in many regional museums and private collections. The works of artist are kept in the Tretyakov State Gallery, the State Russian Museum.
