Shtenberg Irina Valerianovna (1905-1984)
Theatrical artist, graphic artist, illustrator. Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR. People's Artist of the Georgian SSR. Graduated from the Tbilisi Academy of Arts in 1926. In the 1930-1940s. performed illustrations for publishing houses in Moscow and Tbilisi, created illustrations for a number of Soviet publications, was engaged in easel painting and graphics. From 1936 she was a permanent artist at the Georgian Youth Theater in Tbilisi, then worked at the Griboyedov Theater, designed performances at the Rustaveli Theater, the Mardzhanishvili Theater, the Leninakan Theater, the Sundukyan Theater, the Georgian Theater in Sukhumi and others.Designed the performances: "The Hostess of the Hotel" (1937), "The Lonely Sail Gets White" - Kataeva (1938), "The Inspector General" (1939), "Margarita Gauthier" - Dumas-Son (1940), "Enough for Every Wise Man" (1940 ), "The Taming of the Shrew" (1941), "The Great Mouravi" - Vakeli (1941), "Dog in the Manger" - Lope de Vega (1942), "Vassa Zheleznova" (1955); "The Fiery Dreamer" - Mrevlishvili (1957), "The Snow Queen" - Schwartz (1939), "Crime and Punishment" - Dostoevsky (1962), "Bloody Wedding" - Garcia Lorca (1962), "Fox and Grapes" - Figueireda ( 1964), "My older sister" - Volodina (1964) and others.
