Exhibition

The exhibition of the Auction № 174 is open from 7 to 19 September.

September 7 in the gallery Sovcom opens pre-auction exhibition Auction 174, which will be held September 20 at 19.00.

More than 150 lots will be presented at the auction - objects of painting, graphics, porcelain, mainly of the 20th century, most of which will be available at the exhibition.

Among the top lots of the auction are landscapes by Kim Britov, a rare work by Vladimir Yukin, a portrait and battle scene by Pavel Sokolov-Skal, impressionistic painting by Dmitry Nalbandyan, a museum-level work by Nikolai Samokish "Hunting with Hounds", as well as a selection of porcelain figures and posters.

One of the masterpieces of the exhibition and the upcoming auction is the work of Vladimir Leonidovich Muravyov, a representative of Russian painting "Black grouse in the winter forest." The canvas depicts the artist's favorite landscape motif - the life of a winter forest. Such landscapes enjoyed invariable success among art connoisseurs of the early 20th century and were acquired in large Russian collections, in particular, in the collections of Empress Maria Feodorovna.

It should also be noted the picturesque work of the representative of the Russian avant-garde David Davidovich Burliuk "Bouquet against the backdrop of the sea." It is the floral motif that occupies a prominent place in the artist's work. Often the artist depicted flowers against the background of the sea. On the canvas presented at the auction, Burliuk shows himself as a master of depicting a flower still life.

The graphic works of Naum Fedorovich Sobol, Nina Nikolaevna Obrucheva, Mstislav Valerianovich Dobuzhinsky, Alexander Nikolaevich Benois and Alexander Nikolaevich Degai attract attention. The graphic sheets presented for auction are rare works of this genre for the domestic market.

Particular attention in the September auction deserves the work of a prominent representative of the Russian realistic school of the second half of the twentieth century - Radoman Igor Vladimirovich, provided from the collection of the artist's family.

The section of nonconformists is represented by the works of Anatoly Zverev, Ernst Neizvestny, Igor Makarevich, Pavel Leonov.

The auction will also feature two beautiful works by Dmitry Vladimirovich Vrubel, a significant representative of the Sots Art style, who passed away untimely this year.

The pre-auction exhibition will be held from from 7 to 19 September at st. Shchepkina, 28.
