On September 27, the Sovcom Gallery opens a pre-auction exhibition of Auction 175, which will take place on November 23 at 19.00. More than 150 lots will be presented at the auction - objects of painting, graphics, porcelain, mainly of the 20th century, most of which will be available at the exhibition.
Among the top lots of the auction are works by Yevsey Moiseenko, Nikolai Shestopalov, Alexander Rusakov, Valery Kokurin, Anatoly Zverev, Pavel Leonov, a selection of porcelain figures and posters, a string of lacquer boxes.
One of the masterpieces of the exhibition and the upcoming auction is a painting by Evsey Evseevich Moiseenko "Autumn Landscape" of 1971. On the canvas presented at the auction, Moiseenko shows himself as a master of depicting a lyrical landscape with a realistic bias in the spirit of his great teachers, who served as an inexhaustible source of inspiration, such as Isaak Brodsky and Alexander Osmerkin.
Particular attention in the September auction deserves a canvas by Nikolai Ivanovich Shestopalov called "Century Medina". The work is a true confirmation of the fact that Shestopalov is one of the brightest adherents of the pictorial traditions of academicism, a student of Ilya Efimovich Repin.
The top lots of the future, one hundred and seventy-third auction in the history of the Sovcom Auction House, which are also presented at the exhibition in the gallery, include a large string of theatrical graphic sheets, including works by Alexander Nikolaevich Benois, Alexander Nikolaevich Degai and others.
