On November 30, the Sovcom Gallery opens a pre-auction exhibition of Auction 176, which will take place on December 20 at 19.00. More than 150 lots will be presented at the auction - objects of painting, graphics, porcelain, mainly of the 20th century, most of which will be available at the exhibition.
Among the top lots of the auction are works by Vladimir Lykov, Vladimir Yarkin, Yaroslav Titov, Alexander Labas, Arkady Plastov, Pyotr Ossovsky, Pavel Leonov, a selection of porcelain figures and posters, a string of lacquer boxes.
One of the masterpieces of the exhibition and the upcoming auction is a painting by Vladimir Mikhailovich Lykov “Evening on the roadstead” of 1952. On the canvas presented at the auction, Lykov shows himself as a master of depicting a multi-figured composition on a revolutionary historical theme.
Particular attention in the September auction deserves a canvas by Vladimir Petrovich Yarkin called "At the Chernyshev Bridge." The work is a true confirmation that Yarkin was a bright adherent of the pictorial traditions of the great marine painters - Aivazovsky, Bogolyubov.
The top lots of the future, the one hundred and seventy-sixth auction in the history of the Sovkom Auction House, which are also presented at the exhibition in the gallery, include a large string of flower still lifes, including the works of Nina Vasilievna Skorubskaya, Yulia Vasilievna Razumovskaya, Vasily Panfilovich Kurmanaevsky and others. In addition to still lifes, landscapes are richly represented at the auction, which can also be viewed in detail at the exhibition, by Vitold Kaetanovich Byalynitsky-Birul, Alexander Vasilyevich Kuprin, Porfiry Nikitich Krylov, Alexander Arkadyevich Labas and others.
The pre-auction exhibition will be held from November 30 to December 19 at st. Shchepkina, 28.
