A very illustrative feature for the state of our national antiquarian market is many works delivered from abroad and acquired at numerous western auctions, including B. Grigoryev`s four splendid canvas, works by M. Dobuzhinskiy, N. Tarkhov, N. Altman, L. Bakst. Price per a lot varies from 50 to 20.000 USD. Here you can find a rare 1915-year work by A. Shevchencko, an etching by A. Krravchencko, published in the artist’s monograph, linoleum engraving by L. Lapin – a member of K.Malevich's Circle", illustrations made by G. Suteyev to S. Mikhalkov’s book “My friend and I" dated 1939, S.V. Gerasimov military graphics, and strings created by L. Soyfertis, V Popkov and A. Romadanovskaya, as usual. The total number of masters exposed here exceeds 100. Many of them are depicted at Fyodor Reshetnickov’s caricature “Academy of arts meeting”, 1957 also exposed for sale. Section of posters begins with original works by Nina Vatolina, created “Keep head shut!” - the most replicated poster off all times and nations, “To reason and light to life!” and “To school!”, which sound like real September slogans. Of course, visitors of the auction will pay attention to the work by Pavel Petrovich Sockolov-Skalia and Andrey Ivanovich Plotnov "Glory to the heroic Red Army". The poster was created in 1945, when A.I. Plotnov went to the front and entered the USSR NKVD studio, where he studied under P.P. Sockolov-Skalia. On September 20th the SOVCOM Art Gallery for the first time will display the collection of porcelain, ceramics and faience. Floor vases exposed here deserve visitor’s look. They all were created to order as a gift to Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev and were made in single copies in the beginning of the 70-es. Among them there are two vases with dedicatory inscription “To Dear Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev from citizens of Dnepropetrovsk” and “From man-of-war's men of Pacific Sea to the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU, Comrade Leonid Ilyich Brezhnev on 7-th Anniversary, city of Vladivostok”. A porcelain plate made in Leningrad Porcelain Plain can be found here, as well. Also, it is worth to pay attention to bronze sculptures created by the founder of Tatar decorative art, Baki Idrisovich Urmanche “The boy” (1955) and “The lying cat” (1965). This master’s works can rarely be found at antique markets, many of them are kept in collections of large museums of Russia. See the sculpture created by Tatyana Mikhaylovna Sockolova “The girl sitting on the stool”, 1977. The author cast this work only twice, the second copy is exposed in the State Russian Museum and is an aftercast of that one exposed at the auction. Top lots of the auction will undoubtedly become works by Alexey Ilyich Teneta, the author of “People’s Friendship” fountain at VDNKH and many other sculptures all over Russia. Two of his plaster works – “Tsarevich Yelisey” and “Partisan Woman” crated in the beginning of 1940-s will be exposed at the auction. The diversity of the collection exposed at the SOVCOM Art Gallery First Autumn Auction is a reflection of the Gallery Board trend to expand range of the goods offered for sale by introducing related arts - now it is ceramics and porcelain. As far as known, next will be out-of-print books and even numismati
