“Art of the Turn of the Era”. By Tatyana Markova, Kommersant - Weekend, No. 269. December 15th 2006.

The fair will be crowned with the SOVCOM Art Gallery exhibition (during the fair some of the lots will be exposed at the SOVCOM's showcase in the Central House of Artists) featuring first names of the Soviet Era.
For instance, Alexander Deineka with its “Boys running from the water” dated second half of 1930-ies, was estimated at fabulous $120.000-150.000 for such a small-size cardboard. Examples of Soviet post-war art are represented by a famous girl with her books “Daughter of Soviet Kyrghizia” by Semyon Chuykov (represented here by its small cardboard reproduction, $16.000-20.000), epic genre – “Morning on the Kulikovo field” by Alexander Bubnov, who awarded the Stalin Prize therefor (author's reproduction of the picture fragment will be offered for sale at $220.000-250.000). Also, visitors will be offered “rigid style” works (e.g. by Igor Obrosov, Viktor Popkov and Nikolay Andronov), and "carnivalizm" (means works by Natalya Nesterova and Tatyana Nazarenko). Generally speaking, come and find the full range of the last semicentenary.
